
Congressman Lacson turns over PGMAs Flatbed
Dryer to DAR ARBs in Brgy. Katilingban Talisay
Talisay City – Congressman Jose Carlos ‘Kako’ Lacson turned over
yesterday one (1) Flatbed Dryer with Biomass Furnace and Shed Project
(concrete structure) with organic fertilizer to agrarian reform
beneficiaries in Hda. Pilar-Paraiso, Talisay City, together with DAR
PARO Gideon A. Umadhay, Jr.
This Flatbed Dryer is
used in drying up not only palay and corn
but also cassava, camote and any crops that
needs drying especially during rainy season.
In
the message of Congressman Lacson, he thank the presence of PARO Umadhay
and emphasized
that there are two Flatbed Dryers granted to his district with no less
than
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo thru the Dept of
Agriculture and it was him who is implementing it to the rightful
beneficiaries.
The other one was given to Victorias City.
He further stated that PGMA’s help cannot
be seen or feel for it is not her facing the people and turning over the
support services and basic services.
It was also HE Pres. Arroyo who granted
these project
as part of the support services to our ARBs
and other marginal farmers.
In addition to his message he further
stated that out of 240 congressmen only one authored the ‘Total Log Ban
Law” and this Law will be the legacy he will bring to the children.
Lately, flashfloods frequently occurs that
destroys the top soil of the soil below that leads to its destruction
and not anymore viable for planting.
He is also rallying behind the use of
organic fertilizer for it is environment friendly.
Finally in his message he challenged the
ARBs to tke care of all the support services given to them and continue
to pray for its continuity thru HE Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, with
words to ponder
‘No leaves will move without the
blessings from heaven’.

DAR Holds Orientation Workshop on IRR of CARPer
Department of Agrarian Reform, Negros Occidental, conducted its
Orientation Workshop November 10, 2009 on Implementing Rules and
Regulations of CARPER for all personnel from San Carlos City down to
Hinoba-an
with one common objective, uniform interpretation and implementation of
RA 9700.
Otherwise known as DAR Administrative Order No. 2, Series of 2009,
entitled “Rules and procedures Governing The Acquisition and
Distribution of Agricultural Lands Under Republic Act 6657(CARP),
as
Amended by R.A. 9700(CARPER) will serve as guide for all DAR employees
nationwide and stakeholders on how should it be implemented within
the period of five (5) years.

60% OF WV CARP
lands for Negros ARBs: DAR
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Negros Occidental Provincial
Office yesterday said that sixty (60) percent of the total lands that
are allocated for distribution to all Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries
(ARBs) in the whole Western Visayas (Region 6) region are in Negros
Occidental and the agency is bound to complete the task set by the
Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reform (CARPer)
before its due date on June 30, 2014.
This was disclosed yesterday during the orientation workshop conducted
by DAR Negros Occidental on the implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR)
of Republic Act 9700 or the CARPer Law, which President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
(PGMA) signed last August 7, 2009.

10,000
hectares of CARP lands to be awarded
About 5,000 hectares of Agricultural lands
are expected to be distributed by the
Provincial Agrarian Reform office in Negros Occidental by the end of
2009 and 10,000 hectares more by next year, PARO Gideon Umadhay said
yesterday.
Umadhay Led the orientation workshop on the implementing rules and
regulations of Republic Act 9700, or the CARP Extension with Reforms
Law, yesterday at the Sugarland hotel in Bacolod.
Umadhay said they are also working on untitled agricultural lands, which
they also plan to distribute to farmer-beneficiaries in the province.
